New EUPATI Switzerland Online Course: Patient Involvement in Medical Research

Another milestone has been reached: EUPATI Switzerland is pleased to introduce the first Swiss online course on patient involvement in medical research. The course is aimed at patients, family members, and interested laypersons, and was developed in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Research at the University Hospital of Basel, which had previously contributed to the development of the multi-module, 8-month EUPATI Switzerland training course.

This online self-study course explains in an easy-to-understand way how medical research works and how affected individuals can actively participate in research projects. The course is free of charge and available in German, French, and Italian, consisting of 6 modules that cover various aspects of research – from ethical and legal foundations to the translation of new research results into practice.

After completing the modules, there is also the opportunity to take a knowledge test and receive a personal certificate (cost CHF 100 for administrative purposes).
